I think this is the most “Gregory Crewdson”-esque picture I’ve yet taken. I really want to know what used to be in between the F and the R…

I’ve been told “FAIR” but I’d really like it to be “FEAR.” I don’t know why, and I do not care to know what that says about me, but there you have it.

It wouldn’t have to be a specific sort of fear but, you know, just remember that there are things to be afraid of.

There is a difference though between fear and scare – I’m scared of spiders but I don’t fear them. I’m afraid of a 1984-like government but I’m not scared of it.

It is important to have a healthy amount of “fear” in one’s life, or else you will never have anything to work against or for.

You might have noticed that the blog has a new theme. This is an attempt to shake things up, to make it a little bit more interesting around here. You might also have noticed that I am sticking with a non-photoblog theme, this is because wordpress’ photoblogging theme is awful, unlike this one.

Welcome to the new year, ladies and gents. Good luck!

You might notice a new link on the sidebar, to “Orwell’s Diaries.” They, in this case a selection of organizations, have been posting entries from George Orwell’s diaries as blog entires, and it makes for an interesting read. Not always an epic one – the entry from 12.18.38 simply reads “Two Eggs” – but it is worth it to get a look into the mind of such a fantastic writer.

In these trying times, we need something this funny.
